The first LP by Filaments of Existence, right form the start Seeking no Salvation has a darker and rougher tone than most of the band previous EPs and singles. Drawing inspiration from heavy guitar music rather than electronica and contemporary jazz, the duo creates a set of nine tunes that rely almost exclusively on the acoustic sounds (both clean and heavily processed) of Camilla Collet’s drums and Giorgio Giacobbi’s tenor saxophone to deliver a groovier, more crushing, more progressive and sometimes even sludgier performance, with less improvisation and more written material.

Filaments of Existence
Time Becomes Meaningless is our very first composition as a band, it was made back in 2019 but was never officially released until now. It is the starting point of our musical research, an exploration through apparently distant worlds like contemporary jazz, electronica, rock/metal and sci-fi soundtracks.
The inspiration came from an idea of a remote future in which even the last star and black hole would vanish, the universe would be an empty place with no events at all and the measure of time would lose any purpose completely.
In these years our composition evolved through different arrangements and this version is the most representative of what we had in mind.
Improvisation is a key element during the whole performance, consisting mainly in the interaction between musicians and live effects or sequences.

"Implosions" by Andreij Rublev is an instrumental concept album that deals with the themes of colonialism, war, exploitation, consumerism, capitalism, the anthropization of the world and its consequences. The title of the album summarizes the contradictions of the Western first world and the fragility of its current condition on a political, cultural, social and economic level.
